Single Coat Systems
GMM offers a wide range of single-coat systems for cookware. Typically, single coat systems are used on entry-level cookware, which is designed to be replaced after only one or two years of regular consumer use.
Single coat systems cannot usually provide truly superior performance because these products have only one layer comprising the entire system. With only a single layer responsible for both adhering to the cookware and providing food release, optimizing either attribute is impossible.
Single coat systems are custom formulated in either water-based (PTFE) or solvent-based (silicone) mediums, depending upon the base substrate and the specific chemistry of the resin used. GMM chemists will determine which technology is optimal for the substrate.
Please watch the short video depicting how single coat systems are sprayed onto metal substrates and cured in a production oven.
